2011 Rains Retreat (10)
During the Rains Retreat at Bodhinyana Monastery, the custom is to cover the basic teachings of Buddhism from the suttas, for the resident novices, anagarikas and lay guests. This year, Ajahn Brahm covers the first ten suttas from the Majjhima Nikaya, MN01 - 10.
Note: These are not the Dhamma talks given separately to monks.
Majjhima Nikaya 02 Sabbasava Sutta (All the Taints)
"The Buddha teaches the bhikkhus seven methods of restraining and abandoning the taints (outflowings), the fundamental defilements that maintain bondage to the round of birth and death" [Bikkhu Bodhi].
