The Importance Of Keeping Precepts

Ajahn Brahm gives the Eight Precepts at the start of Vesak Day celebrations at Dhammaloka Buddhist Centre on 15 May 2011.

Ajahn talks about the importance of keeping the precepts: renunciation that leads to simplicity, confidence, joy, ease, stillness and the way out of samsara.  He sums it all up with the golden oldie story: "Old monks don't lie".

Note: The recording is 27min. The middle section, about 5 - 16min, is relatively quiet.
